In 2008, I opened Westover Ballet with a goal of providing students in the New River Valley with high quality classical ballet training, but in a low-stress and Godly environment.
Westover Ballet offers a unique approach to ballet training: by first nurturing students’ natural expressiveness and love of movement, we set them up to approach the demands of classical ballet training with enthusiasm and excellence.
Students at Westover Ballet learn to enjoy climbing the “ladder of difficulty,” in which each new skill is a direct stepping stone to mastering the next. By breaking down ballet technique and organizing it into a logical and sequential order of study, we create an environment in which students can set goals, work hard, and see the results of their efforts.
